Most people especially who work long hours either in front of monitors or spend sleepless nights working, end up with dark circle and bags under the eye.

Dark discoloration of the skin under the eye is mainly referred to as dark circles. It is also known as dark rings or shadows.
Dark circles are characterized by the blood vessels present underneath the skin’s surface around the eyes. The blood leaks out from the capillaries making the vessels visible through the skin. This discolouration of the skin is likely to affect everyone at some point of time, but for few the darkness around the eyes is seemingly constant and just refuses to leave.

Now there are many reasons for dark circles to appear under your eyes; from stress, lack of sleep, hormonal changes, a disturbed lifestyle, hereditary and many more. Make sure they cover the entire area of the dark circles under your eyes as well as the eyelids. Leave it on for 10 minutes and wash off with cold water.
Potatoes contain enzymes, vitamin C and starch that nourish the thin skin around the eyes. The coldness of the potato also helps to reduce swelling and inflammation of the vessels underneath the eye to minimize a dark, tired appearance.


3. Cold tea bags: The caffeine in tea bags acts as a remedy for dark circles by diminishing puffiness. Caffeine in tea helps to diminish water in the tissues around the eyes.
Take the two tea bags and soak them in hot water for 3-5 minutes.
Leave them in the refrigerator for 20 minutes or until cold.
Lay down and put the tea bags over your eyes. Leave them on for 15-30 minutes.
