After reading several blogs, several books, I have found the below 6 simple rules very effective and more like a foundation for a healthy fat-free life.
These doesnt come with hefty price tags, or rigorous measures, or painful endeavours.
A little discomfort might be experienced at start, but once you follow this for a month, you would feel a world of difference in yourself and actually start liking it.
1.) Dont skip breakfast – eat daily breakfast, containing food rich in fiber ( Best oat meal + 1 egg white + cup of carrots and 1 glass skim milk ). These items are almost available in any part of the world ( excluding Arctic, Antartica, war torn countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and poverty stricken like Africa. )
2.) Eat every 3-4 hours – Increases the metabolism ( i.e. rate of burning the calories.)
3.) Every meal make sure you include lean Protein – Fish, Chicken, Protein shake, Yoghurt are rich in protein. I would recommend buying a protein powder. More on daily protein intake and different recipes in coming posts.
4.) Drink lots of water – If you are a habituated coffee/tea addict, switch to green tea – Health benefits of it are numerous and helps in fat reduction.
5.) Avoid all beverages and water/juices high in calories and prepared using corn syrup or fruit juice.
6.) Eat lots of greens and whole fruits ( fiber and other vitamins will help ).
Tips to follow the above routine:
a.) Start with just 1 change a week – Making changes in the above order will help.
b.) Have just 1 cheat meal every week when you can indulge in chocolates, and your favourite dishes.
